You may think you’re healthy right now just because you don’t have any body problems (symptoms) or you’re still young but remember this you don’t know the real value of health unless you lose it. You may even be ultra rich but no matter how rich you are if you’re not healthy you can never be happy.
I know you know that but just hear me out.
Have you ever felt that when you have some problems in your body even the most basic things such as walking or brushing your teeth is so hard to do that you just skip it or get frustrated?
I bet you did and I’ve been there too.
“When you are in good health only then you can focus on the things that matters to you”
So what does the word Health really means ?
“A state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” – WHO definition
There are three aspects you have to work on to start improving your health:
Following are some of the ways you can start doing today to improve your health.
Exercise – Iit enhances overall health including the beauty in the face and wellness. It strengthens muscles and improves the cardiovascular system.
Diet – a healthy diet includes a variety of plant-based,fruits and animal-based foods that provide nutrients to your body. Such nutrients give you energy and keep your body running.
Making healthy food choices is important because it can lower your risk of diseases, cancer, and it helps to maintain a healthy weight.
“Most of the people know that they need to focus on their diet and do more exercise to be healthy but not everyone does it”
Because we’ve been conditioned to believe that to create drastic change in our lives, we need to expend massive, sustained effort all at once. This is exhausting and rarely works in the long-term.
Look you don’t need to go fully plant-based diet or hard-core exercise every day or 10,000 steps a day or fancy equipments or gym membership blah blah blah.
5 min simple exercise and 5000 steps a day and just eating any green leaves once a day is just enough to make a difference and give you the momentum to go more deeply.
You may ask isn’t it so less but remember it’s so much easier and better to start small than not starting at all.
“Just start small and do the minimum you can per day”
It can be as liitle as
- 10 or 20 push ups
- 30 seconds jumping jacks
- 5000 steps a day
- eating some fruits and green leaves everyday
- 5 – 10 minutes meditation
- help someone with something everyday
These may vary depending on your circumstances. The trick here is make it so easy that you can’t say no.
Be clean – I don’t need to explain this because you know it’s the easiest way to prevent diseases.
Sleep – vital for growth and development and rejuvenates you naturally and clears the toxins from the body.
• Get up at the same time each day so your body can get into a rhythm.
• Don’t use your bed as a hangout spot—try to avoid getting into bed until you’re ready to wind down.
• Unplug from phones, tablets, and computers at least an hour before bed.
• Keep phones and any other “connected” devices out of the bedroom (or at least not reachable distance ).
• Avoid heavy meals close to bedtime.
• Exercise (but not right before bed).
